Perched atop the Dancing with the Stars leader board, the vivacious Maria Menounos continues to Paso Doble her way leading right up to Cinco de Mayo hosting the official launch party for the Anheuser-Busch beverage manufacturer’s latest creation, the Bud Light Lime-A-Rita. “This is the perfect situation for me,” said Menounos explaining, “We’re blending a little Bud Light with a little margarita,” revealing she ”always celebrates with Bud Light,” thus making the celebratory match having just earned a perfect score on DWTS.
Of the new beverage’s taste, which the NBC Extra co-host considers “a perfect Menounos drink,” she described it as “Amazing! … A sweeter alternative to Bud Light,” jokingly admitting “a little embarrassment” for drinking it “a little early this morning because it tastes so good” as the live set-up has the beverage positioned adjacent on set within arms reach.
Very much a fan of the light beer, the Medord, Massachusetts born, now Los Angleses residing actress, informs us that she actually has “a Bud Light fridge at home that keeps them at 28 degrees [and] a little frosty,” crediting whomever created the drink as “creative … and perfect for summer; fresh and it’s low in calories.”
The 8% alcohol by volume (6% ABV in certain locations) only ready-to-drink margarita on the market currently comes available in 12-packs of eight ounce cans (220 calories), 24-pack twelve ounce cans (330 calories) and bottles as well as the single-serve 24 ounce can.
The actress, journalist, entertainment correspondent and equally recognized avid sports fan, recently participated in the WWE’s April 1st Wrestlemania event in Miami, Florida. “Wrestling at Wrestlemania is a dream of millions of people … it was amazing… 80,000 fans screaming for you and you’re going to the top rope, there’s almost nothing like it,” excitedly recalls Menounos reiterating “I’m definitely going to be in this WWE family” when questioned as to her future with the company. And when she’s not ‘wrestling’, the sports life-loving actress when asked what sports character she might like to portray on film responded with “Manon Rhéaume … the first female hockey player [in the NHL] was a role I’ve always been interested in,” revealing a deep passion for “hockey and [loving to play] hockey.”
But for now the only ‘on-ice’ action will be limited to pouring cool Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas at the poolside launch party in La Vegas’ Mandalay Bay for which Menounos, who will be joined by her DWTS stars partner Derrick Hough, says she’s “so excited [and] so deserving of a little time off and some fun that this all happened at the right time.”
